Terms of Service

Umbrella Trip operates as a certified integrated travel facilitator and tour operator delivering a broad suite of travel solutions:

• Holiday Packages: Curated domestic holidays (Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Kerala, Golden Triangle, Chardham Yatra) and international destinations (Dubai, Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Maldives).
• Transportation Services: Outstation cab rentals, one-way drops, round trips, airport transfers, and verified professional driver on hire.
• Hospitality & Ticketing: Star-rated hotel and resort bookings, luxury stays, domestic and international flight and train reservation coordination.
• Visa & Documentation: Tourist visa consultation, document verification, appointment scheduling, and embassy liaison support.

All reservations are subject to availability and formal confirmation:

• Advance Booking Deposit: A minimum advance deposit (typically 25% to 50% depending on seasonality and destination) is required to secure hotel rooms, transport blocks, and airline seats.
• Final Balance Settlement: Full balance payment must be settled at least 7 days prior to departure for domestic tours, 14 days prior for international tours, or upon vehicle dispatch for short outstation cab rentals.
• Official Vouchers: Final hotel vouchers, driver contact details, and tour itineraries are released upon receipt of cleared payment.
• Taxes & Invoicing: All quoted prices include applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless specified otherwise. Invoices are dispatched electronically upon payment clearance.

We understand travel plans can change unexpectedly. Cancellations must be communicated to us in writing via email or official WhatsApp:

• 30+ Days Prior to Travel: 90% refund of tour cost (excluding non-refundable flight/train tickets and peak season non-refundable hotel deposits).
• 15 to 29 Days Prior to Travel: 50% refund of total package cost.
• 7 to 14 Days Prior to Travel: 25% refund of total package cost.
• Less than 7 Days or No-Show: 100% non-refundable due to supplier cancellation forfeiture.

To ensure smooth execution of all bookings, travelers are responsible for:

• Carrying original, government-approved identification documents (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID) during check-ins and travel.
• Ensuring passports maintain a minimum of 6 months validity from the planned return date for all international itineraries.
• Adhering to local destination regulations, wildlife sanctuary guidelines, temple dress codes, and hotel check-in/check-out timings.
• Reporting to assigned pickup locations on time. Delays exceeding grace allowances may incur supplementary waiting charges.

For outstation and local vehicle bookings:

• Kilometer Calculation: Distance is calculated garage-to-garage or point-to-point as detailed on your booking voucher.
• Tolls, State Taxes & Parking: Unless an all-inclusive rate is contracted, toll taxes, inter-state entry taxes, and parking fees are payable directly on actuals.
• Driver Night Charges: A standard driver night allowance applies for driving between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
• Safety Standards: Chauffeurs are instructed strictly to adhere to posted highway speed limits. Smoking and carriage of illegal substances inside vehicles is prohibited.

While we partner exclusively with verified suppliers and maintain high operational standards:

• Umbrella Trip acts as a facilitator and shall not be held liable for personal injury, baggage loss, airline flight delays, or unexpected hotel overbookings beyond our direct control.
• Force Majeure Events: We are not liable for itinerary disruptions caused by acts of God, extreme weather, landslides, flooding, civil unrest, strikes, or sudden government road closures. In such events, our team will make reasonable best efforts to arrange alternative routes or accommodations.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. In the event of any legal dispute or claim arising out of our services that cannot be amicably settled through customer support escalation, the courts located in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
