Chardham Yatra by Road from Haridwar (9N/10D)

Depart early morning to Janki Chatti (approx. 45 km). Begin the 6 km sacred trek to Yamunotri shrine (on foot, pony, or palki). Bathe in Jamunabai Kund, cook rice wrapped in cloth at Surya Kund, and offer devout prayers to Goddess Yamuna. Trek back to Janki Chatti and drive back to Barkot hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi along the scenic Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi is renowned as northern Varanasi. Check in to hotel. In the evening, visit the celebrated Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the massive ancient Shakti Temple with its divine copper trident.

Early morning excursion to Gangotri Dham through Harsil valley. Admire picturesque apple orchards and deodar forests. At Gangotri, take holy dip in the icy Bhagirathi river, perform puja at the 18th-century temple erected by Amar Singh Thapa. Return to Uttarkashi for night stay.

Drive towards Guptkashi via Tilwara and along the roaring Mandakini river. Witness the confluence at Tehri reservoir vistas. Reach Guptkashi, the ancient holy town where Lord Shiva concealed himself from the Pandavas. Visit the revered Ardhanarishwar Temple. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Early morning drive to Sonprayag/Gaurikund. Start the 16 km sacred trek to Shri Kedarnath Dham surrounded by majestic glaciers. Reach Kedarnath base camp by late afternoon. Attend the sublime evening Aarti at the ancient stone temple while mountain peaks reflect the last rays of sun.

Early morning morning darshan of Lord Kedarnath. Offer ghee and bel leaves on the sacred Jyotirlinga rock. Begin your descent trek to Gaurikund. Reboard vehicle at Sonprayag and drive back to Guptkashi for a rejuvenating hot dinner and good night rest.

Drive along picturesque mountain roads via Chopta and Joshimath. Witness Vishnuprayag, the holy confluence of Dhauliganga and Alaknanda rivers. Reach Badrinath Dham by late afternoon. Check in, take a dip in Tapt Kund (natural hot sulphur spring), and attend evening Sandhya Aarti.

Morning Maha Abhishek darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. Visit Mana village, Vyas Gufa where sage Vyasa composed Mahabharata, Bhim Pul, and Vasudhara falls viewpoint. Post lunch, begin descent drive towards Pipalkoti or Rudraprayag along the scenic Alaknanda river. Overnight stay.

Drive back to Haridwar. En route visit Devprayag to witness the divine Sangam where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the Holy Ganga. Pass through Rishikesh, visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula viewpoints, and Parmarth Niketan. Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station by evening with fulfilled soul.
